An Anonymous Bingo Story!
Back when bingo was new in my hometown, we played bingo every Sunday night. At that time they used the hard Bingo cards and they had racks to put your bingo cards on so they weren't flat on the table.... well one Sunday night we were playing bingo and I wasn't getting any bingo numbers so I was spending most of my time looking around. Well I saw a bingo card which only needed one number... all of a sudden they called the number and no one said bingo... so I yelled bingo and raised my hand. The bingo worker came over and I sent him to 3 tables away to pay the bingo winning card. The lady didn't know she had bingo. She didn't even give me a tip.

Well me and my neice had been going to bingo at the vfw hall. They had bingo every wed and thursday. We had to travel 40 miles to go to bingo. When we arrived at the bingo hall we saw that it was pretty full and we said to each other hope we find a place to sit. We opened the door and to our surprise there was a meeting of the vfw. About fifty men were just staring at us. Well needless to say we got out of there fast.

In WA State, I played bingo at a couple of different halls. On January 29th of 1998, a Friday night, I went to one local hall, "northern lights". When I walked in, I noticed that there was nobody but staff around. Then when I looked in the non smoking section, I learned they were holding a native american wake. Boy did I feel foolish. I forgot that that particular hall doesn't start play till Sat night.
I then proceeded to marauders bingo accross town. Still feeling embarrassed, I then decided to say a prayer and buy my packs and machine. Their progressive is in 54 # or less. I noticed that my machine got down to 3, 3 then 1. i needed o64. when I looked up, there it was. I won $6800 on the 49th number.
Two months later, on march 30th, I went back to northern lights to play, a sat night. Got a machine and packets. I won a couple of warm up games and others during the evening. After intermission, they do their progressive jackpot. I decided to add to the pot and buy a couple more throw aways. I was sitting with some friends , when one of them noticed I only needed o62 on 1 of my sheets. I looked up at the monitor and there was o62. i won $7900 that night on the 53rd number. Talk about lightning striking twice. I almost fainted. I was shaking. All total, jackpots and all, I won almost 18,000 dollars in 2 months. I have the stubs to prove the 2 jackpots. I still cry when I look at them.
